An independent, single mother who owns a small hotel on an idyllic Greek island, Donna (Streep) is about to leave Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), the spirit of the daughter she raised alone. To Sophie's wedding, Donna has invited his two best friends of a lifetime - and no-nonsense Rosie practices (Julie Walters) and rich, multi-divorced Tanya (Christine Baranski) - of his time-una banda backup Donna and magneto-dynamos. However, Sophie has secretly invited three guests of their own.

In a quest to find the identity of his father to walk her down the aisle, she brings three men from Donna in the past to the paradise of the Mediterranean which visited 20 years ago. More than 24 chaotic, magic hour, the new flower love and romance was rekindled old in this lush island full of possibilities.
